    Default Display mode

This screenset is a really nice work ger21!

I have a question: Is there a "Display mode" button in your screenset?
I mean to turn on and off the dashed lines showing the X,Y soft limits.

If the answer is no, could somebody tell me whether is a way to reach this feature of Mach3 using the 2010 screenset?

    Thanks in advance!

No, but you can use Config > Toolpath and check "Machine Boundaries".

What file do you load when you use View > Load Screens?

I think you're using a very old version of Mach3, which is why it's not working.

What version are you using? I'd try 3.42.020 or 3.42.040

I sent some video's about the screens how it acts. It could be noise but it is only z axis. If i change axes the coughing stays with the particular pins 6 and 7. Might be the bob but a replacement one from Keling 3 weeks +. I hope that someone figured this out before..Ply i'm not the only one loosing steps
I watched the videos and here the noise. I don't have an answer, but the screenset should have nothing to do with how Mach3 is running.
The fact that changing pins to a different axis and it follows the pins would indicate an electrical issue, imo.

I am using 3 042 020 after i uninstalled the actual one.. And i load the 2010 screenset. I agree that the screenset is not causing it but in my case it has some influence. Ply has something to do with the grafic card. On the other hand I strongly suspect the BOB and i will know in a month or so .
I might try some noise filtering with capacitors or resitance but i don't know exactly where to apply them. I will reassign Z to other pins to see what happens..
I don't have enough experience in CNC controlling but i am working on it. Only from december last year but i have a big portal-running, a BF 30 almost ready and a lathe waiting to CNC-d. (all bought nov last year) (only hobby) so pardon my ignorance, i'm trying.

Does the file name now work with 3.42.020? It should.

So where it suppose to show the file name ? We might misunderstand eachother since english is a foreign language for me.(I used to work for GE 20 years ago in Cleveland..)

The name should be on the bottom.

    I'm guessing you're using File > Load G-Code.
You need to use the Open File toolbar button for the file name to be displayed.

I just got 2010 Screen and am having a problem after install. I read the install directions, created my profile dir in /macros and copied the macros over. When I run, I get an ERROR, #Expand File Not Found At:

    Mach3/ScreensetMacros/2010-4.set blah blah.

There is nothing in my ScreensetMacros folder at all. I reran the installer doing a Repair and still have an issue. Running the latest Mach 3 dev release 043.056

This happens on an M03 in the geode file. I get a series of these error dlogs and the first mentions something about a license file.

How do I fix this issue?

    cheers,
    Michael

You had or have the MSM screenset installed, and that's where the error message is coming from. I don't use the #Expand function, as it's not available in the older version of Mach3 that I use.

You need to contact Dave at Calypso Ventures to find out how to get rid of the error.
I believe I've read a similar post at the machsupport forum, but don't recall what the answer was.

Thanks Gerry, that is true, I had MSM to test. I liked the overall look and simplicity of 2010 so that's what I bought.

Good news, I am testing this on Fusion running on my Mac. I have not installed any screen sets on my 2 control computers that actually run my mills. So, I can simply do a fresh install of mach on this virtual machine and reinstall 2010.

    thanks,
    Michael

You may need to uninstall the screenset before you can re-install it.

Default Slightly Modified 2010 Screen Set

    Hi Gerry,

First, many thanks for a GREAT SCREEN SET!!!!! It has to be the buy of the century. Very smooth operation and well thought out screenset. The semi-automatic tool changer is the best thing since sliced bread.

I am using your Mach3 2010 Screenset to operate my Shopbot PRT 48 X 96 CNC Router. I am using a Smooth Stepper Board via USB on my Laptop and running Mach3 in Windows 7 Compatibility Mode (XP Service Pack 3) and your screenset has worked flawlessly.

In as much as I had some extra space on the screen I added a few buttons on the right side to better fit my machining needs. I also use an Xbox 360 controller to jog about the table and the buttons on the right side allow me to easily move from continous to incremental modes and select jogging speeds and increments for various operations.

I have included a picture of what I did to add some extra features. I realize the touch probe is a duplication but these tired ole eyes need all the help they can get. I also added a couple of pictures of the Laser X Y Zero I added that is controlled via one of the buttons on the right side.

    John

That did it, clean Mach install, reinstall and configure 2010 screen set and all is good. And I even remembered to save my profiles first!

    cheers,

    Hi,
Me again. Might be off topic a little or maybe not, since i am a beginner and not really sharp with the different fixtures (coordinate sistems) how do you proceed if you loose the 0 due the bit stuck to Al, melting it, and the gantry just drag the whole stuff. The part still savable just could find the zeroes again.
Easy with the Z but nut so with X,Y.(Homing i think it is not precise needed 0.1mm) Can i use the laser pointing setup for this? And how ? Please advice. (As for a noob)
    Thanks
    TT
