    Default "Cut Link" function?

In Madcam, there's a tool parameter called "Cut link distance" which is very useful. When doing a big parallel finishing job with thousands of passes like the curved 3D surface in a wing mould, you can set the cut link distance to any measurement greater than the stepover distance and the tool won't do a move at the end of each pass - it will move directly to the start of the next pass. By reducing thousands of small unnecessary moves it makes the job lots faster and more efficient. Is there a similar function in Rhinocam?

Hello, I work with MecSoft Corporation, developer of RhinoCAM. To answer question, this would not be required in RhinoCAM as the toolpath automatically does a cut connection from one pass to the next walking on the surface. If there is no surface to follow, it would do a retract to clearance or skim height as set by the user under clearance definition. Feel free to let us know if we can further help. And am about to answer your previous question on this forum as well!

I encounter situation with pass-to-pass tool retractions when make profiling TP with conical shape tool.
It cause also at V-carving TP.
BTW, why V-carving in Rinocam perform such strange relocation logic? I set Fast move strategy to "Minimal distance", but RK keep move tool from one side to another then back again.

We cannot say for sure until we can see a part file. Could you send a part file with a toolpath to support@mecsoft.com?. Or you could post your question in our support forum and attach the part file there: https://mecsoft.com/phpbb/
