I worked with an Astro 100NT/HDS for seven years starting in '07 using AstroCAM. It was buggy as well, but you get used to it. Just be patient and you'll get the hang of it. I made sure to report every error, bug and hiccup it made.

the main problem im having it when it picks a part up with suctions it will pick up more then one from them being stacked together leading to the parts dropping out of place which then results in a crash. amada has no real solution to this other then a magnet that works sometimes. and im running aluminum right now.

We had lots of problems like that as well. I thought that had a vibe or air blow part separator solution for the newer machines. One method we used was industrial velcro to act as a stripper. We built Heavy metal angles and faced it with the stuff. It would strip off any second parts and with a little creativity in placement, drop the part back into the stack nice as pie. If the parts are very problematic, do you have a vertical rack?

the vert rack will only hold parts smaller then 6.7in. so most of my parts have to be stacked were trying out brushes right now and slowing the loading process in cam software.

Might also help if you are using a turret with air blow, to turn it off when punching these parts and have the operators wipe the sheets down prior to breaking them out. Had to do that on some 24GA parts that went through the Astro.
