Here is a wood sign I made.
The wood and letters were routed out using a 1624R CNC Router.
I then painted, sanded and stained the wood.
I applied vinyl to the letter prior to routing out for the color.

Thank you. I was a bit concerned on how it would turn out while I was painting it. I'm not the best with a paint can felt like I was making a big mess lol.
Another thing I was not sure would turn out was adding the vinyl on the PVC before routing it, but the vinyl held on just fine and did not come off or fray.
Exactly! Applying the vinyl first on the PVC before routing out the letters saved me so much time.
This is really good info for future CNC routing or engraving projects.
But I'm also guessing it will depend on how well the vinyl sticks on to the materials surface, considering that the PVC is smooth and flat.
Here is a link to the type of vinyl we had laying around, I got the specs from the blue vinyl I used. I think the other colors were the same type.
