A steady hand and lots of practice to be consistent. Buy a cheap drill sharpener.....it will set your angle and lip length correctly.

I sharpen drill bits, counter sinks, center drills, end mills and circular saw disk on my lathe using a CNC program. The grinder is a pencil grinder with a small cutting disk. To do this, the spindle and Z-axis are controlled by a stepper.
