I'm running Nema 34 Slo-Syn surplus motors from disc drives because they were cheap. 5 steppers off Ebay for 42.50 plus shipping. I'm running them at 20X the rated 1.7V with a 4 axis Hobbycnc board.

I own a Practical CNC equipped with Servos. I can not identifiy the make or size on the 6 x10 mill. I call PCNC. Their tech team is worthless. Any ideas on how to identify what this machine has?

    Your thoughts are appreciated.

23's on the old MDF router, 34's on the plasma table, and a shoe box full of servo's for gps steering ....

The Poll did not specify stepper or servo?
NEMA size is not in itself an indication of torque, just frame size.

No idea why this poll is still running!
There appear to be some that somehow think that NEMA mount is related to a torque value, where in fact it can vary depending on the motor construction, particularly steppers where the length/torque can vary in a wide margin, for the same NEMA mount!
