TNG on Raspberry PI 400 - Display lag
Hello everyone,
I wanted to replace, on a CNC controlled lathe with MK3 / 4 and TNG, the Windows 10 PC with a Raspeberry PI 400 (4Gb ram, external Toshiba HD via USB 3.0). After some minor difficulties installing TNG, the system is now working. I have a big screen lag problem though. I have a high definition 13.3" touch screen (native 1920x1080) with 60Hz refresh rate. I followed some tips and answers to the same problems as other users but it doesn't change much. I lowered the resolution to 1280x720, I tried to lower the frequency to 50Hz but nothing changes, both when I type from the keyboard, for example for MDI commands, and when I move with the mouse, or with the touch. The screen is always delayed. The dro updates to the position after one second from the moment the machine has stopped, I always risk typing the MDI commands wrong because I don't see what I type in real time.
I have no overheating of the Raspberry, and in any case, the problem occurs immediately when the program is launched. I have installed the latest version of TNG for Raspberry which can be downloaded from the site.
Has anyone pinpointed where the problem is and found a solution? Otherwise I'll have to go back to Windows.

Try setting settings:
"User Interface/Refresh Rate" to 50ms
"User Interface/3D/Refresh" to 50ms

With 50ms the situation got worse.
I had to go in the opposite direction and with 200ms refresh rate it works fine.
