    Default PlanetCNC TNG software crashing

    Hello,

Problem: PlanetCNC TNG software crashes/closes down if I press the following; settings and license management options.

    Software version: 2020.09.18

I tried solving the problem by adding PlanetCNC to Windows Firewall exception lists and restarting the computer, but no use.

Question 1: Are there softwares or drivers that are required for PlanetCNC to work properly, and what are they?
Question 2: how do I overcome the crashing problem.

    Hi,
I replied to S3eed77z in PM but it seems correct to write it here as well as it can help someone with the same problem.
The problem complained by S3eed77z is the same as the one I had a few months ago when I changed the old Intel PC to a new one based on AMD processor in particular with Asus motherboard. The anomaly is caused by some USB 3.0 ports that conflict with MK3 controllers (both 9 and 4). I haven't found a permanent solution even by updating all the drivers available for my Asus motherboard but I am able to make full use of my MK3-9 by temporarily disabling the USB ports causing the problem

Menu "Help/Show Log..." - does it crash?
If not - log window has buttons on left side to show USB devices/properties. Does this crash?

Seems like an USB device is causing crash in our USB enumeration procedure.
I've reexamined our code and I added some additional safeguards but I was unable to pinpoint problem.
Can you disconnect all USB devices from computer and try again. Perhaps you can find which one it is.

You can use LAN but this will probably not help with "License" and "Log" dialogs.

Currently I will use my old laptop, and when this problem is resolved I’ll change provide my computer code to switch users.
