I will investigate this and let you know.
Hello,
I am building up a mill with a MK3 bord using TNG
SW: 20.09.18
HW: 2020.09.04
Now I want to chain two ExtOut boards and don´t get them to work properly.
Unfortunately I found no description in the manual or the tutorials, so I tried to connect each ExtOut board to a own ExtIn board (using SSEL2).
But now both ExtOut boards are working in parallel.
e.g. M64 H2 P3 Q1 L10 switches the 3rd relais on both boards.
Connectiong the boards via the CAN screw connections lead to the same result.
When I want to address e.g. Relais 9 I get an indication on the IO Panel on the screen but no relais to work.
In the settings in paragraph I2C,TX, Ext I have set:
SEL2 Pin Invert
In Size 0
Out Size 10
Timer 1000
Planet recomends 4000 but then the relays are not stable. They are switching off and on unadvertent.
But using 4000 does not make a change for my issue.
Does anybody have an idea what I am doing wrong?
Best rgards,
Marc
I will investigate this and let you know.
I'm still working on this.
G-Code for configuring ExtOut boards to do this correctly is one of the most complex I've ever done.
Hello,
same question. 1,5 month later...
Please be so kind to respond.
I saw that you changed the description of the output board. You erased the promise that up to 32 relays can be connected.
I really hope that this is only for the moment and not your idea of a final solution.
Best regards,
Marc
It is possible to connect 80 relays by chaining 10 boards.
However each board needs sequence id number. By default we ship all boards with sequence id 0. Changing this sequence ID requires I2C and CAN connection. We can do this for you until we find better solution.
Hello,
that you for your offer. But removing and shipping would be a big effort.
Could you provide a instruction how to programm the sequence id?
I guess what you need is a raspberry - correct?
I hve one of those here and it would be a help for the next user with the same problem.
Best regards,
Marc
