JOB STOPS RUNNING WHILE ROUTING
I hope I am explaining this correctly:
I have been using Planet CNC successfully for several years.
The last few months for whatever reason the job I am running will stop, the job screen will turn white and lock up. To continue, all I have to do is select the code line where it stopped, right click, and select "continue from this line" and I'm on my merry way. Today while running a job this must have happened 30+ times. A real PAIN IN THE BUTT.
The only thing I noticed on the screen was the very bottom left corner (I think it's call the Status Bar) was reading numbers like 9780/10,000 and than go blank when locking up. Is this something I need to set in the software?? When I finally got it to work without locking up it was reading numbers like 75/250 but I didn't make any changes.
I'm using the Vectric application to setup my jobs and have never had a problem.
Any ideas??
I seen this as questions on the CNC Zone for a similar problem.
Which controller do you use? 3/4
Are your motor cables shielded? Yes
Do you use external power supply for controller? Yes - Conditioned
Do you use double-shielded USB cable? Yes - Supplied by Planet CNC

I hope this is the problem. I use a USB drive to copy my PLT files to the laptop in my shop to run my cnc. I thik I had a bad usb drive. Using a new one seemed to cure the problem . . . . . . . .I hope. So far so good!
