Unable to revert back to V1

I successfully upgraded to TNG, and received confirmation that the v2 firmware was updated correctly. However, due to some limitations in the new version, I'm wanting to revert back to V1. I have an MK3/4 controller if that helps.

I followed the instructions:

-In PlanetCNC TNG click: Machine/Controller/Advanced/Revert to V1

But Revert to V1 is greyed out.

What is going on? How do I fix this?

Please do the following:

-Connect your controller with PC
-In PlanetCNC TNG software click: File/Settings/Connection -> double click on your controller displayed on device list so that it is set as "Primary controller"
-click Machine/Controller/Advanced-> Revert To V1
