    Default kavo 4444 remote control

I have a kavo spindle and driver (4444) mounted on my Tormach mill, and would like to use the remote control features of the driver accessed via a 25 pole subd connection. Unfortunately the manual contains only the most basic description of the connection. It aludes to much greater detail and function but doesn't supply the detail, the damn teasers!

Thus far the US dealer has not been forth coming, likely because this is a discontinued model etc.

Do any of you have this info?, If so I would appreciate any assistance.

    Thanx

    Wayne

    Hi,

It is indeed very hard to get any information about this converter, however I've managed to receive some pages of the technical manual of the EWL-4444.

It is in german, but I think it is prety clear..

Let me know if you run into any problems.. (I can translate if needed).

I have the same converter, and also want to connect it to my CNC-computer.

I have been looking for this solution for years. I have gotten it to work recently. The trouble is the drawings are not correct. You want to use pin 1 as the common for shorting out pin 3 for start and pin 15 as the stop. These are only needed momentarily and act exactly like the front panel buttons.
