    Default New VFD and spindle motor, RPM too low

    Hello,
    We bought a spindle motor and VFD from ebay - zero previous experience with such things.
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112622600823#rwid
    We completed the wiring, VFD and motor both work
    Problem is that motors RPM is way too low and the VFD shows only max 60 HZ when running. The speed can be adjusted only between 0 and 60.
    The manual is too confusing for us and we can not understand which factory settings need to be changed.
    Only thing we could think of is to change most 400s to 300s with no luck.
    Most similar manual to ours I could find online:
    http://www.frequency-converter-china...2143083921.pdf

    Any tips that could help us forward are greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks ahead,
    phootsman

    Don't try to run it again until you have the proper settings, or you'll damage the spindle.

    The seller doesn't have a manual?

    We do have a manual. The Parameters Function List/programming part seems to be 100% the same as the linked manual. But we have no idea which settings to change.

    I will do a list of Parameters you need for your VFD what I had posted was for a HY VFD

    Some advice for buyers, when you see advertised imported German Bearings, don't buy from this seller, the German Bearing they use a manufactured in China

    Always Buy a VFD with a common Brand name not some look alike, like this one is this looks like the popular Huangang VFD Drive, don't be fooled by look a likes or copies

    Here is a rough list of what Parameters you need to set

    P00.00=300

    P00.04=300

    P00.05=300

    P00.06=100

    P00.09=200 ( adjustable for you Spindle Minimum Speed, Keep it safe nothing below 100 )

    P01.04=100

    P0.600=10

    P0.700=300

    P12.00=12

    P12.01=220

    P12.02=2

    P12.05= ?? ( Your VFD Drive Max Amps Output )

    P00.09 - factory settings were 0,2. Set it to 200, the motor stopped working
    P0.006 - did you mean 00.06? 00.06 can only be set between 0 and 1

    Went over the manual again and changed P07.08 (Frequency source selection 1). Finally got the speed needed.
    Problem now is that the speed adjustment knob does not do anything.

    Below is P00.06 and P00.09 both should be 100

    Try this

    P00.01=0

    P03.08=0

    P03.09=300

    P07.08=0 This can't be 1 if you want to use speed adjustment knob

    Sorry. I meant 06.00. You wrote "P0.600=10" and I assume you meant 06.00 , Acceleration Time. This can only be set 0-1

    The ones below should be aleady set as you suggest because they are factory defaults.. Can't check the machine now but per manual those are defaults
    P00.01=0

    P03.08=0

    P03.09=400

    P03.09=400

    It should of been P06.01=2 not P06.00 my mistake

    P06.01=2 Default is 2 you may need this higher for these Spindles this is the acceleration time

    P06.02=2 Default is 2 also this may need to be higher, this is Deceleration Time

    P03.08=0

    P03.09=300 This to is not the Default and needs to be set also, this is for the maximum Spindle speed

    P03.09 I posted this as 400 but that is incorrect for your Spindle
