Default Milling or not? Z axs problem

    Hi,
I had try multiple time to do PCB. Or my try do broken PCB (too deep), o just push the copper or the last time don't down to Z at the half of gcode and just draw half...
And vibrate more than my phone.
Any suggestion? I think give a try to WEGSTR
    Cheers,

This post is gone past sell by date, but will say one or two things for the benefit of new up and coming PCB milling enthusiast

alpha_one_x86, the WEGSTR is such a graceful PCB CNC milling tool, very much impressed with it but for a price tag of approx 2,000 Euros
you should get a similar CNC online for far less.

You should be able to buy a ballscrew CNC plus a GRBL stepper motor controller for under $800.00 and the same output of a WEGSTR CNC.
For goodness sake you don't need a Gecko stepper driver or a stepper motor of 100Nm force just to mill a Copper Clad Board!

All that matters is repeatability from your stepper drivers and stepper motors, specially 'Z' Axis to hold it's position.
Remember the 'Z' Axis has to hold it's own against force of gravity.

Should you look at the post from Chris https://www.cnczone.com/forums/pcb-m...matictool.html quite solid and ticks all the right boxes for milling a PCB but at a cost.

You can check out this post earlier https://www.cnczone.com/forums/pcb-m...44316-cnc.html and scroll to post #15. should point you in the right direction.

    Cheers,
    Hanspeter.

    Hi,

You have reply too late. Now I use chemical + laser (direct lithography)

    Cheers,
