Default Installling drivers on HD for new computer without USB

    Hi all,

I have a hard drive with all kinds of important files and programs on it, but my computer crapped out. I do have a nice Dell SFF I'd like to upgrade to. But the original computer was a Compac and none of the drivers work on the new dell. I cant even get the USB ports to work so I can transfer drivers manually. Any ideas?

get a external hard drive enclosure and plug that into a working computer and transfer your files over

I normally put the the old HD in the new computer as a second drive. Then just copy & paste the files. This assumes that the old HD is working.
