Sounds like motors are binding

I have an Omni 1325 I just got recently new. It worked fine but it was in metric so I asked Omnitech for the xml file in imperial. Somehow I converted my computer to chinese and couldnt do anything until i got that fixed which just meant an update to windows 7. now it seems like the motors are binding and my x and y wont move and it makes a grinding noise. I haven't got the xml file in inperial yet so its doing it running under the original xml file. It ran fine when I first got it set up.
I also have the wxhd hand controller connected.
Oh, and the y axis works fine.
