Default Gantry out of square on Omni 1325

I have a Omni 1325 with a Syntec 6MB controller. The gantry is out of square, not by much but enough for me to want to adjust it. There are sensors on each side of the Y axis at the home end, but I'm not sure if both are being used for homing, or if one is used for homing and the other is just a limit switch. If anyone knows if there is gantry squaring as part of the homing routine? Is there a syntec parameter for offsetting each Y axis homing switch? Any light on this situation would e very helpful.

I'm not sure. I've always assumed it was just the one side, mainly because y and z only do 1 point and x seems to be the same on the screen.

If course the idea of a machine purposely trying to torque the gantry to square itself seems wrong too, given the amount of rigid steel involved.

I guess you could move the far limit a hair and see if anything changes during homing.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm the twin of the other gfacer on cnczone...

I have run a rack and pinion machine with separate homing switches with software offsets. For the length of gantry, a couple of mm adjustment one side to the other isn't much. I suspect if the Omni rack and pinions on the Y were disengaged, it would be possible to move the gantry on one side to reveal the play.

Although there is only about 1mm of offset, it does affect jobs we do with large parts and tight tolerances.

    Set diagonal
1.Move machine to the front side, find a benchmarks and use the
measurement to measure the Y axis two side distance from the
    benchmarks,write down the numeral.
2.use some thing to fix Y axis one side gantry which side is bigger, and
    shut down the power.
    3. loose Y axis side gantry screw which under the Y axis gantry, and use
the measurement put it on the Y axis which side is shorter, and push it
away from you about 6mm(that you measured diagonal before)
4.power on,and use the measurement to check the distance from the
benchmark, see if it has changed(diagonal side no change, short diagonal
side will be bigger 6mm ),if no change fix the screw which under the
    gantry
5.remove that one you use to fix the one side gantry and home
    machine,to test it again.
If still the diagonal no good, pls do it again as the step1-step5
