Did you initialize new hard disk?
Hello everyone,
I got a problem with my machine that I was using to select programs using ethernet and now it is not working anymore. I figured out that the hard disk is not giving a green light anymore; it is only red, and when I use DNC-DT, it gives an error.
I tried to replace the hard disk but until now nothing has changed.
if anyone has a solution please share it with me, and I want to know if these hard disks must contain any drivers so that machine can recognize them or if I have to initialize them throw the machine itself.

yes i tried and it failed too
did you try to connect the disks to PC to see if the disks are faulty?
Yes I tried it and everything went well, I also bought 2 hard disks similar to the original one but I don't know if the Raid of hard disks is essential in this case or not.
Looks like the problem with disk controller or settings ....Yes I tried it and everything went well
can I know what you mean by settings?
I will check the disk controller boards
hyreplacing the hdd requires osp internal re-configuration ... i don't know how to do that
okuma dealer should know ...

Thank you for informing me of this point I will check it how can i do it , because Okuma dealer in my country doesn't want to replace or solve they want to let me buy new machine
Since you checked the disk on a PC and it was correct, means you can install back the original disk and the settings should fit?what you mean by settingsYou bought the Okuma machinetool from someone else when there is an Okuma dealer in your region?they want to let me buy new machine
it should fit but unfortunately, one of the workers formate the disk so I guess there is something missing from the disks that are responsible for initializing the disk with the machine OSP
no, I already have everything original from my Okuma dealer but right now they want to change the whole control box of the machine since it is an old machine or buy new one
Ontrack maybe. It's possible, that OSP supports disk only up to 500MB size and bigger disk has a special ( Ontrack for instance ) software installed on it in order to pretend being 500MB.formate the diskOh sorry about that. That's blackmail.I already have everything original from my Okuma dealer
Maybe I can try to make the disk 500MB but I figured out today that one of the two disks blinked green and turned off and the second one keep the green light on, I have a feeling there must be software to initialize the disk before installing to the machine to be initialized
I checked the user manual but nothing useful regarding this issue
Press EDIT mode key
Type HDINIT
Press WRITE key
Thats all.
