LB3000 engraving macro

Hi,

I have a couple of LB3000 lathes that id like an easy on machine letter/number engraving solution. My Fanuc controller lathe has a simple engraving option built into the controller, it’s unfortunate Okuma machines dont.

Can anyone point me in a direction to engrave along the length of a tube. Ideally a macro.

hy daz i have done milling operations on tubes, solved c axis feeding formulas, so really no more doubts on programing

as for engraving, i can create a scalable aproach for you

define character set and font, whatever else you wish

it’s unfortunate Okuma machines dont

okuma's never stores programs, but they have all it takes to program something / kindly

Thanks for your reply.

One example is 30 CAL its just basic stick font 2.25mm tall letters that start at Z- 14mm.
We have 12 different versions of this part, each having its own engraving.

hy daz if you won't find a solution soon, i will create one for you, if you wish

i got it, you need some chinese font unfortunately, besides 0-9, is not possible to fully macro it for letters, because there are no string functions, and this is why most engraving programs are based on software, while macros deliver limited functionality / kindly
