Default Max File size for LB10

    Hi to All,
Could anyone tell me what is the largest file size i can send to my Okuma LB10 with OSP5000L controller ?

I'm sure there is a page on the controller i can pull up and see for myself but i havnt a clue where to look
or what I'm meant to see.

Any help or info would be great
    Thanks in advanced

Take a look in PARAMETER page and find *NC SPEC TABLE* pages. Somewhere there in a bit list should be bits B016, B032 and similar- then take a look on data area- where is 1, that bit is active and so this is a setting for maximum file size that system allow to read. B016 for example means the maximum program size is 160m.

    Appreciate the reply, Thanks mate.
Cant see any of those details you mention....
I read elsewhere that these machines have 16k of memory so im assuming can only upload a 16kb file.

    Thanks again.

I have seen a specification list papers for older LB10M- there were options for memory 30m (meters) as a standard and 160m as later update. Here is approximate translation for those memory units: 20m=8kb, 40m=16kb, 80m=32kb, 160m=64kb, 320m=128kb. Looked at papers I got on OKUMA lathes- they have a bit different spec.code writings than milling machines, could be SPEC.CODE 02: no. 15 where to look at for available memory option. But that is my guess as there are no description what is what there.

    Much appreciated,
Im thinking its 16kb as i tried sending a file that was 28k and got an memory error . Anything under 16kb works well.

    Thanks again
