Would anyone have a current list of error codes for a OSP 5020L turning center. I'm getting a 266 A when I try to MDI into high gear and a W07 D VAC motor not reedy to start when I try to jog the spindle. They clear but I can not get my spindle to go into high gear when I input a M42 that's when I get a 266.. Any thoughts...
Contact your Okuma dealer, they should be able to send you a copy of the PDF of the alarm book.
You dont specify the code of each alarm... but W07 alludes to trying to start the spindle too soon after an "A" list alarm (says 10 seconds is the time to wait after resetting an A alarm) or bad VAC
The 266 A says Spindle Revolution error, spindle motor, drive, or possibly that no G50 (max spindle speed) has been specified. Says to check the timing board, spindle drive unit, and spindle drive motor.
Thanks Wade, I will look into that. I had the machine running fine last time out but it sat for some time I'm talking days not months. I did erase the offsets for tool 1,2 & 3 as I was setting up new ones as of now it still reads 0 across the board for tool settings on 1,2,3. When I went to fire it up now I cant get it to run higher then 50ish RPM and no increase with the override but I can decrease some if I back down to 50%. still no higher then 50 RPMs It will run all day like that. If I try to run at a higher RPM in M42 that's when I get the 266 alarm. It seams it doesn't like the higher RPMs in MDI that when it alarms out.
Give it a G50 S3000 in MDI and then try RPM for grins... then try a spindle speed less than 3000.
Or it might show on the Block data screen if its presently set? I am pretty sure G50 is sort of a "permanent" thing - and stays set until changed - irrelevant of reset, power cycle, etc... But might just be the VAC drive on the fritz. Im far from a tech I just have two LNC8s and run them. But have had few troubles with mine - so not a lot of trouble shooting experience.
