    Default Okuma RS232 Conversion

Does anyone have the correct set-up to download programs onto my 1990 LB15 lathe with a 5020L controller. I have been reading all the posts here but they all are from back in the day 10yrs plus. Wondering if anybody has any information that's relevant to the new computers now if there is any and or if not what would be a good working configuration to use to download programs. Thanks in advance.

Most important is to understand RS232 communication in detail. Then you can set up OSP to match the PLC and use whatever converter available. There are no RS232 updates since 20 years. Many superstitions related to serial communication still alive however :-)

I have used DNC4U for MANY years without issue on OSP5000 and above.
They provide full connection details in the help file for the cable and also the settings required.
    A good solid product.
