    Default Axis acceleration control

I have a Bridgeport/Okuma GX1000 OSP. Since my question is about software, I am posting it here.
Like all machines, I have G0 and G1 commands. The G1 commands link together smoothly and work as I expect. My issue is with the G0 commands. It appears that the acceleration is at maximum. The start and stop are very abrupt.
I run a lot at 10% for rapid and it is noticeable. Is there a command or parameter that I can use to soften the acceleration for the rapids?

    Thanks.

    Default Re: Axis acceleration control

hello, i don't know for your model, but on osp300 there is a parameter that allows controlling acceleration for manual_mode, automatic_mode_normal_cinematic and automatic_mode_hi-g_cinematic

even so, editing those parameters is a bit restricted by CE regulations

i don't know if those parameters are available on your control ?!

also, so far, i have not seen g-codes that allow changing the acceleration ( from code )

i know that our okuma dealer had edited those acceleration parameters, by messing with some internal values inside the controller, thus using a procedure that is not available to mere mortals maybe there is a chance that such a procedure can be executed also on your cnc; try talking with your okuma dealer about it / kindly

we are merely at the start of " Internet of Things / Industrial Revolution 4.0 " era : a mix of AI, plastics, human estrangement, powerful non-state actors ...
