true but the pedals are supposed to work and they are not working you dig?
There's a screen where you can set it to use the tail stock. It's the same screen that you set ID or OD chucking. I can't remember if it's under settings or parameters. If you can't find it then I can send you more info when I'm at work tomorrow morning.
Maybe a broken wire to the pedals....
use the check data page to see if the pedal press is being acknowledged.
how you doing, genius
got a problem and hopefully you have a solution for me?
I noticed I couldn't turn on the spindle anymore (I could single jog it) but I had to turn off what I originally turned on to advance the tail stock eh?
so what's the deal with this machine? how does this work?? tail stock has to be off before the spindle can start spinning?
hy
moving the tailstock requires 0 rpm and turret at upper limit (XA+soft limit); both conditions may be ignored by an optional intelock, if available for your machineI had to turn off what I originally turned on to advance the tail stock eh?
try M157 ( also optional maybe ) ... i don't have experience with your machine, so i can't give you exact infos / kindlytail stock has to be off before the spindle can start spinning
we are merely at the start of " Internet of Things / Industrial Revolution 4.0 " era : a mix of AI, plastics, human estrangement, powerful non-state actors ...
Once the tailstock is activated it has to used (advanced) to run a program. Kind of like trying to run a program without a part in the chuck. As Deadly mentioned there are M codes that can be used to get around that. You would need to use those codes if you wanted to center drill a part & then use the tailstock.
M156 - Center work interlock off
M157 - Center work interlock on
M55 - Tailstock retract
M56 - Tailstock advance
got it
thanks
