floppy disc reader issue

We have a Okuma LCS-15H with a OSP-U100L control (2000 vintage). The floppy drive in the machine will read an OSP formatted disc but will not read (get a disc read error) an MS DOS formatted disc. I did select the MS DOS option on the control. We have an identical machine next to it and have no problem reading both discs, OSP and MSDOS formats. So it isn't a bad disc.

any ideas or might it just be a bad floppy drive? Is there some parameter that needs to be changed? Not a show stopper but a nuisance.

Probably floppy disc reader issue. Try floppy reader cleaner.

We Change the old Floppy for a floppy emulator with pen drive and no more problems.
