hi rcs, far as i know, at least on osp300 there are some system variable that :
... tell if a potentiometer is <>100
...... or
... are able to ignore override
i don't know if, on a mill, this option is there for rpm overide, feed override and rapid override
a quick search into the manuals revealed this :
... M134, M135 (Spindle Speed Override Valid / Invalid) Even in the status in which spindle speed override control from the PLC is valid, the spindle speed override function can be made invalid (M134) or valid (M135) with these commands.
... M136, M137 (Axis Feed Override Valid / Invalid) These M codes set whether the axis feed override function is made invalid (M136) or valid (M137) independently of the ON status of the axis feed override signal from the PLC.
so far i did not find a system variable for rapid override, but if there is the production key, simply put it on 100% and remove the key from the cnc; when the setup people will come, they may use the key to override the rapid to 25%
however, far as i know, when you put the key on 100% some other options may get blocked, like unable to edit whatever value ... i don't know for sure, i will check it tomorrow
i am afraid that the feed potentiometer works regardless of production key position / i will check this
kindly
