    Default OSP-E100L spindle accel/decel

    Hi,

I would like to know if someone knows how to adjust the accel and the decel of the spindle for an Okuma lathe with a OSP-E100L. We have a LB45II-M with 2x 24" chucks on each end of the main spindle so it has alot of inertia so belt are slipping and the tension on them is good, even too much allready.

Regionnal technical service doesn't seems to know how to solved it. I've tested all the parameter that I saw in the book that would may be related to that problem, but came useless.

Someone know where the settings for the spindle drive are??

If it would be a Fanuc, that we have been solved in 2 minutes!

    Thanks,

    hey wiseco / use progresive accel/decel : instead of S700, go S50 S100 S150 .. S650 S700; using small steps may reduce the belt slipping / sleeping

If it would be a Fanuc, that we have been solved in 2 minutes!
if it would be osp300, solving would take 2minutes-1second :
... optional para ( work weight set parameter )
    ... mc sys. para: ( spindle ) \ page1/4 \ torque limit value
... check also SP PEAK POW. CUT inside management data card
    ...... mc sys. para: ( spindle ) \ page2/4 \ spindle power peak-cut torque limit value
    ...... mc user para: ( spindle ) \ page 3/3 \ spindle power peak-cut function invalid

sorry man, at this moment i don't know what else to say

    Thanks
Yeah someone here came up with this idea of progressive spindle call but... I don't know... I don't like much that idea... If we don't have choice, maybe a subprogram call to do that but we would have to modify ALL of our programs for that machine which is alot!

... check also SP PEAK POW. CUT inside management data card
    How do you get there?

Looking forward for another idea anyway.

    Thanks again!

hy wiseco / for future programs, it may require an open source CAM, and someone who knows how to dig it

modifying allready existing programs is a tiny mess ... even if you use a subprogram, the fastest way to do it would be to use a system variable that reads the current spindle speed, and i am afraid that the system variable does not exist

    How do you get there?
managament data card includes a list with cnc installed options; i guess there should be one also for your cnc; mr Wizard recomends looking also inside the electrical cabinet

maybe there is installed an extra function, that allows controlling those parameters, but i am really sorry, i don't have experience with your type of control / kindly !
