Hello,
Have you the manual and floppy disk of the Okuma ?
Please support for me.
Thank you,
the drive was probably built more than 35 years ago. you will be lucky to find anything about it now.
pull the drive out of the frame and look for the REAL manufacturer (not Okuma)
and the model number. then report back here with that info.
Hello,
Have you the disk software of the Okuma Osp5000M-G MC-4VB ?
Thank you,
That machine only came with 8" system disks & drive.....also had a reel-to-reel tape reader
Trying to change to a 3-1/2" drive and all your machine disks are then useless, & you will never be able to resurrect your machine to working condition if a problem occurs....... on a machine of that vintage, it could be tomorrow
Get the RS-232 working, as PIP is standard ( better if you had the DNC option ) for the loading of programs

and ..... say goodbye to using floppies ( floppies in the workshop don't last very long, & they also are becoming rarer )
