    Default "B" Axis Break Issue

We have 4 OKK HM1250 Machine centers. Two of them have issues where when rough milling the "B" axis will actually lose positon...the mill will actually push the axis around. Has anyone else had this?? Anyone know ofa fix other than lighter depths of cut...or lower feedrates??

Default Re: "B" Axis Break Issue

Does the B axis gets clamped after positioning to a certain angle, before the heavy cutting / rough milling is commanded? If no, then Try clamping B axis. Other possible reason could be the B axis worm gear has backlash and it needs to be corrected.
