Default Retrofit of ESS to MN-200

    hi all,

have a question for those that still have an NM-200.

I am trying to remotely help a friend that has a V2 of the machines and has had to upgrade the onboard PC due to some failure or another. In the process he has installed an ESS and despite the XYZ axes being fine, he is struggling to figure out the spindle motor. The motor and driver of it is the early Sangmutan.

Specifically, do you need to select PWM mode or step and dir mode in Mach and how would that translate to the ESS config screen.

If anyone has an XML they would be able to share, please do so.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks Kvom!

I will get the guy to try it.

Do you remember if you have made any changes to the pin connections?

My mill has the Novakon control box (CD100) that I've never made any hardware changes to. Parallel port interface.

That said I switched to PathPilot where PP and the Mesa card are in a separate computer but I still use the CD100 to house the BoB and drivers, connected with 25 pin cable.
