Default I bought a Multicam 48 plus, I am having trouble with software.

I have just barely got this control to connect to my win xp pc with mx32 installed. Im not sure this control uses gcode, I dont even know what ucito or hpgl is. enroute? I suppose that is multicams cad cam package? My printed manual says version 3.01 I think the control is a 3.54 version,I will double check it tomorrow. Is this control worth fooling with? Or should I pull it and do a retrofit? I have cnc machinery with mostly fanuc controls. This is all new to me

Fusion 360 has both MultiCam HPGL and MultiCam ISO posts. The HPGL is something I don't recognize as being able to run a machine and has a .plt extension, but the ISO is standard looking G-code with a .cnc extension. As I recall, Enroute will output either, been a while since I've worked with it.

I run my MC Pro on MX32 using .plt files and have for years. I've used Enroute's plt PP, but the last 6 years or so I now use Vectric Aspire's "Multicam plt ATC" PP. Works great for me. Most Multicam controllers can read Gcodes also. I've attached a MC produce pdf of the controller acceptable G & M codes. This is an older pdf.
