how old is your machine
Hi guys,
This is my first post, i'm desesperated with a Multicam 1000 series M CNC router.
I´ve overwritten original firmware with trash (by error) and now cnc router doesn't work.
I don't have original 3 firmware files and i've looked for it with no luch. Maybe someone could release it?
I think 3 files may be something like J2_xxx.bin, h4std.uc & h4ldr.uc
Thanks in advance!

It's dated july 2006.
What i'n not really sure it's if board is J or K series. How can i know it?
are you without support (to, just like me right after the bill was settled :-((( )
anyway, long time ago, had lost of fun since with my MG204 ~2000
I ran into the same problem like you're havin' now when installing new firmware
the proces / program(motionmechanic) leave's lot's of room for mistakes
pretty sure my files will be to old for you, you can have them anyway, I don't need them any more :-)
I run it another controller, although the old one still works if you now where to kick . . .
let me/us now how you're getting on please
good luck
You're right kessfrees , the lack of support is very bad and always money ahead.
I appreciate sincerely if you can send me the files, I 'm not really sure it will be compatible but i have nothing to loose, now the controller is as usable as a rock.
With motionmechanich the only thing you can do is save NRAM with parameters of the machine (but not extract the firmware completely, i think) and send a firmware that you own (that three files in the same order) to flash.
That NRAM file is stored as .uc and contains something like this:

OK....I need to know what version of software that you have.
Exit jobserver
Find motion mechanic
if you have a gray screen, goto Tools and goto Terminal
at the >
Goto File and capture NVRAM
cut and paste what you see on the site, I think I might actually have the fimrware file.
The text i paste is copied directly from motionmechanic.
I think it might be useful.

My machine is still running very fine !
Many thanks to MCP again :-)
Oh thank you, i try later. but do you have DBI file? Because Service Tools request this file for correct connection

Attachment 470790
This doesn't work unfortunately.
I don't know about a DBI file, there is one mention of it on his forum though :

But I doubt if this will be any help to you.
If I my suggest, retrieve and post your'e machine specifications here, following these instructions :
https://www.cnczone.com/forums/multi...ml#post1657662
And for someone like MCP.
I make capture NVRAM with "MCP" instruction. And i have

Also, I can not open the "Firmware Update" program.
Since it requires you to specify the "DBI_file.mdb" in the connection settings
Ok, i found my original machine parameters. But when i "store" i was not choose to "parameters". I not looked where it will be stored. I overwritte INIT user file in NVRAM. And now i need sample of "init file.uc. Anybody can sent self file? i will look what be need coded coded in this file.
I found the original parameters file.
And I received the "User Init" file from the Multicam service center in Russia
The machine is repaired, everything works!
