    Exclamation Firmware Overwritten

    Hi guys,

This is my first post, i'm desesperated with a Multicam 1000 series M CNC router.

I´ve overwritten original firmware with trash (by error) and now cnc router doesn't work.

I don't have original 3 firmware files and i've looked for it with no luch. Maybe someone could release it?

    I think 3 files may be something like J2_xxx.bin, h4std.uc & h4ldr.uc

    Thanks in advance!

are you without support (to, just like me right after the bill was settled :-((( )
anyway, long time ago, had lost of fun since with my MG204 ~2000
I ran into the same problem like you're havin' now when installing new firmware
the proces / program(motionmechanic) leave's lot's of room for mistakes
pretty sure my files will be to old for you, you can have them anyway, I don't need them any more :-)
I run it another controller, although the old one still works if you now where to kick . . .
let me/us now how you're getting on please
    good luck

You're right kessfrees , the lack of support is very bad and always money ahead.

I appreciate sincerely if you can send me the files, I 'm not really sure it will be compatible but i have nothing to loose, now the controller is as usable as a rock.

With motionmechanich the only thing you can do is save NRAM with parameters of the machine (but not extract the firmware completely, i think) and send a firmware that you own (that three files in the same order) to flash.

That NRAM file is stored as .uc and contains something like this:

    /* --->

    Version Information

    **** MultiCam Inc. ****
    ** Router Machine S/N 1-101-R05240 **
    Loader V6.70
    Standard V6.70

    uCITO V2.06c
    Keypad KDM20 V1.22
    Controller :
    LC520 Rev 2 Interface M64 (ID 22)
    Serial Num #2806
    Speed 133MHz
    Memory 8M
    Step Delay ON

    Machine Parameters
    <--- */
    -145.787430 1 set_float
    145.787384 2 set_float

    [more memory positions]

Maybe the next option will be get another controller/driver, but first i'm gonna try all possible options.

OK....I need to know what version of software that you have.

    Exit jobserver
    Find motion mechanic
if you have a gray screen, goto Tools and goto Terminal
    at the >
    Goto File and capture NVRAM

cut and paste what you see on the site, I think I might actually have the fimrware file.

I don't know about a DBI file, there is one mention of it on his forum though :
    https://www.cnczone.com/forums/comme...ml#post1172937
But I doubt if this will be any help to you.

If I my suggest, retrieve and post your'e machine specifications here, following these instructions :
    https://www.cnczone.com/forums/multi...ml#post1657662
    And for someone like MCP.

I make capture NVRAM with "MCP" instruction. And i have

    ****Router Machine S/N M2400****
    Loader V6.70
    Standard V6.70
    MCIF V4.41a
    uCITO V2.06c

    IP Address 192.168.0.88(255.255.240.0)
    Bus Voltage 36.178 VDC

    MODULE INI_STD 2 6.70
    MODULE INI_MD4 20 1.28
    MODULE INI_INIT -3 6.70
    MODULE INI_INVERTER 5 2.19
    MODULE INI_SELFTEST 1 0.00

    FEATURES 199485
    MEMORY 3
    MPU_MHZ 133
    CONTROLLER_REV 2
    CONTROLLER LC520

Also, I can not open the "Firmware Update" program.
Since it requires you to specify the "DBI_file.mdb" in the connection settings
