Default Mori Seiki sh500 z axis problem

    Good morning.
I have a problem with z axis. With each movement it advances by 0.005-0.01. Odds are added for each movement.
I got up to 1mm of error.
Tried and changed encoder but problem persists.
The technician says that mechanically everything is ok. Changed the channels on drive, but the problem remains.
Anyone had a similar problem and how did they solve it?
or any advice on what to watch.
    Thank you.

What is your history with this machine? New to you?. Was it not doing this and now it is? If so after any maintenance?

Double check that you don't have some funky Backlash Comp setting or you could look over your Pitch Error Comp Settings and see if they look out of whack. You could even make a record of what they are and then zero them and see what that does.

the machine worked well. at a certain point, it gave me an error checking tool breakage. moving 0.5 for an hour no problem. then back into tool breakage alarm. There we realized that the piece was lower.tested the reverse play but everything is ok.
