The best way to do this is using non-invasive current transformers. There are all kinds of devices available, Google 'power monitoring' . Here is one way to do it, maybe a good starting point. https://learn.openenergymonitor.org/...energy-monitor
Hello,
I am Kerim, a bachelor student that is trying to acquire data from a CNC machine of which the model is DMG Mori DMU75 Monoblock. We are currently working on a project which needs current (electricity) data of servo motors of the CNC. However, we do not know how to transfer this data on a PC environment. Is there anyone who knows how to transfer current data (in terms of Amperes) to a PC? Thank you already for anyone's effort.

Thank you very much for you help! After building this circuit, where can I put this device to monitor the current? Thanks in advance.
You would run the motor power wires through the current transformers.
There also may be a way to read the individual drive current directly from the drives using the ModBus or whatever protocol that system uses, you would need to look at the drive documentation for more information.
