Hello, I’m needing help with a 2 axis lathe, Cnc control system, The issues I have is that the battery was pulled out of the control and all the paperwork and backups were tossed in the trash, while I was out dealing with health issues, I was not aware of this at the time, and I’m trying to get it back up, if anyone has anything they can share with me on this Meldas 50 Cnc control it would be a blessing, I was told by Mitsubishi that my ladder should be intact, the retrofit was not logged with Mitsubishi at the time, so there is no backups that I can get, the original company that performed the retrofit is no longer in business. The machine is a SMT ST 14- Cnc 220, 6” through hole twin chuck
I still have my Meldas 50 system books (paperback and falling apart from age)
If you need something specific please ask and I will try to find it and scan it for you.
I am not doing the whole book.
I assume since you lost your battery, the display is Japanese and you need to get it speaking English again.
I have to go down to the shop in a few minutes, and I try to find that that protocol and post it.
Also, the Meldas 60 books can be found online if you hunt a bit. They are very similar as far as the error codes go (and a searchable PDF format). I have not checked the other features.
I have not found the 50 series yet on line.
My Meldas is acting up and its time to get the mill going one way or another.
If I cant make it move, I will probably retrofit it with something newer and sell all the servos, drives, books, etc.
