can anyone tell me about the craftex b2071 lathe mill. i am a newbie and i am considering buying a used one for $800 can. are these machines any good? how old are they? is there parts available? accessories? all and any information would be greatly appreciated. i would be using it for r/c boats,cars and just experimenting. thanks rcjman.
In case anyone looks this up. I have one and it works well. Mine came with a load of extra parts when I bought it new. Busy Bee still sell tool posts etc that will fit it. Lots of backlash in the leadscrews, but as long as you cut in only one direction, all good. Important to really tighten the lock screw when using the mill so the head does not move on you.
