Ever since I started my hobby homeshop, the lathe chuck has always been a major problem.
for years and years, I postponed the upgrade, because it is quite expensive!

however, I changed my mind when the chuck ruined my spindle from recent project...
I was frustrated, becuase, no matter what I do, the parts always came out flawed...

I have been using Furda 3 jaw chuck, Sanou 3 Jaw chuck, Sanou 4 Jaw independent chuck...etc.
This time I chaged to a renowned Korean lathe chuck: Samchully.

I had to drill new holes.
I didn't have to machine the step, because i will be using this machine for non-heavy duty purposes (but accuracy very important)

The accuracy improved from 0.1~0.2mm -> 0.01~0.02mm
If i need super accuracy, just loosen the bolts and tap the chuck to perfect accuracy.
The chuck is not only accurate concentrically, but the parts are held linearly as well.
the chinese ones fails in both accuracy.
