    Default Binding - mini lathe

I was turning some peices for my mill yesterday and I heard a BOOM and a bunch of grinding, I shut it off really quickly and took off the gear train cover and the middle 80 tooth gear would not spin, plus it has a broken off tooth now. The thing it rides on must have welded together.
This is not somehting I like to see out of a new product, plus I need to turn something for school this week wich isnt gonna happen without power feed.

Has this happened before and how do I go about getting a new gear and the thing it rides on? its the B and C gears.

You should be able to find any part you need here LittleMachineShop.com

Don't know why it broke without looking at machine, that is something you are going to have to look at and figure out , or if the machine is under warranty that would be better, just get a new one.

Just get a new machine? I would love to but I dont want to pay $60 for shipping and probably another $60 for shipping back...

I would rather just order the part at lms, Im taking a look there now.

I'm just trying to help out here. Also, I am assuming it is from Harbor Freight, they are pretty good about making things right. They probably would send you just the parts you need under warranty if you called them up. All parts are detailed and numbered in your manual. Also they can usually sell you any of these parts, they are just a little slow at getting them.

Just out of curiosity, are the Homier gears metal or plastic?
