WEAR COMPENSATION
I've got a Cent7 control.
Is there a wear compensation separate from the normal cutter diameter or radius in the tool parameters?
Like a + or - a few thousandths when you're sneaking up on a dimension to make a part in the vise fit the one in your hand?
I sometimes use Millwrite for CAM and when you use cutter comp in MWrite, it spits out code for the center line of the tool, not the actual part dimensions.

Re: WEAR COMPENSATION
Cent 6 here. Not to my knowledge. I tried doing that and this is my work around. not the best but it works.
I am using inventor cam. I have it to set to comp on the cnc machine. I use cam programs most of the time so all my tools are zero diameter in the controller. That allows me to change to .001 .002 etc for compensation. My problem is if I want to make a conversational program I need to change the tool diameter temporarily.
