VM17 VMG17? Minimum height for entry?

Theres a couple mills coming up on auction that I'm looking at. One is labeled VMG17 and I'm not sure what that means. Cent 6 era machine. The other is a Cent 7 15k spindle that I'm very interested in. Would either of these manage to squeeze into a normal garage 8' door?

Hi Yugami, The G in VMG stands for a "graphite" These were machine that have a positive oil flow to the rails and ball screws to help move the graphite away. They are also black in color, ( to hide the graphite) they also usually had a Torite dust filter system on them.

You might squeak one in a 8 ft. door.


The C7 machine you not say what machine it is.

Congrats on building a new shop, ( you thought making parts was a job) designing a shop is a whole new job, but can be a fun one. :-)
