    Default G189 Max Corner Deviation

Does anyone have any experience with Milltronic's 8200 Series controller? We have been running into some surface finish issues with 3d parts. We notice it mostly in the z axis when the machine is rolling over a sharp corner at high speeds. The default Max Corner Deviation (G189 Modal) is set to .002" which to me seems kinda loose for finishing. Any help or direction would be much appreciated guys, thanks!

Hi Will, there is an axis parameter called, "max corner deviation" you can "tighten" it up. Take it down in steps. .0001 would slow the machine down so much you could not stand it.

Thanks sportybob! Lowest it will let me change it to is .001". I'm hoping that will fix some of the issues we had.
