Question on Bilz WFP1 Tapping Chuck
picked up a Bilz WFP1 with a 3/4" automotive shank cheap with the tap holders. Figured I could use it in the Bridgeport for tapping. Once you take the Woodruff Key out should not be an issue holding it in a 3/4" R8 collet or end mill holder.
Just curious if anyone can help me out with one thing. It rotates about 20 degrees clockwise or counter-clockwise and then hits an internal stop. Is this for synchronizing or something else in CNC machines? I tried looking it up on the Bilz site... but no luck.
Thanks,
Steve
