    Default Tabs info?

Hi All, I am milling parts from .250" alum plate. The pieces are spacers of a sort. SO they have inside cutout pieces, and then a whole perimeter outside cut out. I am using a .250 end mills. At present I am using tabs to hold all the pieces together then breaking and filing each part after machining. But its time consuming. In the past, I;ve had parts get jammed on the endmill and breakage ensues. Just wondering if there's tricks to not using tabs on everything? My center cutouts are about 1" to 2" varying. If I space stock up above the table and let pieced fall down, would that be viable? I'll try to attach a pic later if I can

I have raised the fixture and allowed the cut off pieces to fall through in some cases. It does work, most of the time, but not the best. Many times I'll drill & tap the fixture plate then screw the cut out pieces down to the fixture to keep them in place.

In the small pockets, many times it is just better to turn the waste pieces into chips, then no worries about jamming.
