    Default 6mm to 10mm shank for tramming indicator

    Hello
    I had to down grade my spindle and now my dial indicators 10mm shank wont fit my 6mm er11 collet. Wondering if anyone has some ingenious ideas on how i can mod it to fit my 6mm collet.

    Turn down the shank to 6mm maybe?

    Without a picture of your indicator, it's really hard to say what might be a good option.

    As you can see in the picture the shank and the dial are one piece so it would be able to be turned

    ...hire a Tool/Die machinist. or turn down the end use____== ing a Lathe or CNC mill to 6mm only as deep of a step to fit nice in your 6mm collet then you can still use the 10mm
