Tool holder clamping force
Hello,
I am currently setting up our tool crib. Ive made a torque specs poster for the different torque values per holder style. (ER collets, TG collets, set screw, milling chucks, etc.)
I stumbled across a quote on a website stating "bearing collet nuts will give you 50%-100% more gripping force on your tool." So I ventured to find a gripping force value for ER32 collet tool holders, and i am coming up with nothing.
What I would like to know is, whats the different gripping forces per holder, if torqued to the manufacturer recommended spec?
Thank you,
