What anodizing method for matte finish?
Machnists wants to know what anodizing method I want. I'm after bead blasted matte black and grey finish. What are the options and what should I choose?

Etching the part before anodizing should give a nice matte finish.

Re: What anodizing method for matte finish?
When I had my company I "Select" the finish, in the wheels selection, "Scotchbright" wheels of different grids) it work wonderfully and it was really fast, well a 2 HP motor help too and a poli belt help too) if I want polish (Yuck) a whole other set of cloth wheels and polishing compounds was necessary..
Tumbling can be even better, the surface is very even but it takes a few days (shops is busy, the process it self takes 3-3 hours) they require minimum amounts and can be really expensive if the shop is Pro (machines are no joke 480 volt monster engines..)
(That wheel right there was like $200, so I only had three of them, always wear gloves, ask me how I know)
