Hi, I'm also interested in learning machinary stuff, especially CNC machines. I live at chicago south. I'm thinking to start up a machinary company, as I saw some opportunities in this area. More learning, more fun. Welcome to contact me at: voittoinc@gmail.com

why not everyone leave his/her email, so we can begin to contact, and then organize the meeting. If no one is willing to take the lead, I can organize it.

    Jeff,
Don't know Frank.I grew up in Wauconda. I have 3 phase at home which is handy. I also have a Bridgeport, and roll in saw.I'll be gone for a couple weeks, but you or any one in the area is more than welcome to come and use the machines on small weekend jobs starting around the first of Dec.

It is at a standstill since we have not been able to get our $hit together.

    What are you building?

    Thumbs up

    Rick,

A fixed gantry is a very good idea, they are super solid.

I prefer a moving table machine over a moving gantry 10 to 1 even though it takes move real estate.

Do you have any pictures of your build?

How long have you been on the South Side?
