We would like to set software limits inside the mechanical limit switches. We set parm 002 bit 3 = 1 (enable stored stroke limits), then set parm 143 (only testing on X axis for now) to 99999999 & parm 147 to -99999999, just for testing. As soon as the Zero Ref return is completed the Alarm 212 comes up :+X S Lim.
We tried changing parm 143 to 00000000 & parm 147 to 00000000 - same result. Tried setting parm 143 to -99999999 & parm 147 to 99999999 - same software limit alarm.
On this machine Zero Ref is at the maximum positive X position.
Set the parm 143 & 147 to values that we calculated, left the machine in the X position where it was, turned off power to the machine & powered back up.
Without doing a Zero Ref, we could jog the machine to out calculated soft limit position & machine stopped as expected, with the Alarm 212.
So why does the control Alarm out the instant the Zero ref is completed?
Cheers,
