We recently acquired an older Mazak QT-20. When powering the machine up, it displays alarm 350 Operating switch fault along with an estop alarm. Web research says that it could possibly be an operator panel switch. When looking at the I/O and pushing each button, we see that everything is working. Does anyone have any suggestions? Can someone post a picture of their I/O Monitor after startup? Attached is a picture of the machine I/O screen.
You could try the chuck clamping switch. That's not normally the error you would get for that but worth a try. Are the doors closed? Can you home the machine or nothing?
Hey Sudsy! Thanks for the reply! I’ll double check that door switch to make sure it’s making. The chuck clamp switch doesn't move the chuck. All buttons switch in the i/0 screen but the machine is unresponsive. The machine won’t move or home or anything.
Edit: on second thought we never checked the chuck foot switch in the i/o to see if it’s working. Will be doing that also!
I meant the chuck direction switch. The one that is for either internal or external. Not sure what control you have but it will be in the little door with the RS232 connector on a T32 control and in the back electrical box on a T1. I don't know about other controls
